Giant

  • Plain-language slang (not as colorful as hawg or bucketmouth).

  • Often used for bass that weigh 7–8+ pounds, but the cutoff depends on the body of water:

    • In Florida or Texas, “giant” might mean 10+ lbs.

    • On small northern lakes, a 5-lb largemouth or 4-lb smallmouth could be a giant.
